Does a Mom Need Life Insurance?

According to conventional wisdom, you don’t need it because should you die, your husband wouldn’t have to replace your income. But many in the insurance industry are now challenging this thought. Review the following questions and if you answer yes to any of them, you should consider at least a minimum term life insurance policy.

1. IF YOUR HUSBAND HAD TO PAY FOR CHILD CARE, COULD HE AFFORD IT?
Depending on the number and the ages of your children, your family might need help with this expense.

2. ARE YOU PLANNING TO GO BACK TO WORK WHEN THE KIDS ARE OLDER?
Many women do, partly to help cover college costs. Your husband would have to compensate for this future income too.

3. ARE YOU INELIGIBLE FOR SOCIAL SECURITY BENEFITS?
You have to have at least 10 years in the workforce in order to be eligible for social security. If you are, your children have the right to claim these benefits until they turn 18 but if you are NOT eligible, a term life insurance policy could be the answer for your family’s protection.

If you answered yes to any of these questions. Please contact us to find out more about Life Insurance options.
